JOUISSANCE PARFUMS
Subversive scents inspired by the books we read beneath the sheets. Jouissance was born in the pages of the books we read beneath the sheets. Even today, stories such as Histoire d’O and the diaries of Anaïs Nin still manage to discompose and arouse readers thanks to their radical complexity. Our scents are inspired by the female artists, writers and fictional characters who taught us to fantasise and to desire. In homage to them, our approach is inspired by the specificity of women's language, art and creativity.
Tenderbooks
Tenderbooks is a space for independent publishing in Cecil Court, WC2. The bookshop commissions a programme of regular events including signings, performance and installations by contemporary artists working with printed matter in expanded forms. We also curate displays of rare avant-garde print and ephemera.
Projects to date have featured works by AA Bronson and General Idea, Aktionsraum, Cory Arcangel, Atelier E.B., Joseph Beuys, Mawuena Kattah, Chris Marker, Thurston Moore and Ecstatic Peace Library, Cady Noland, Carolee Schneemann and Stephen Willats.
Experimental publications and editions are commissioned through the Tenderbooks Imprint. We also love to work with collectors and institutions to create bespoke libraries. Tenderbooks buys rare publications relating to art and design, especially artist books.
